Improving your health through nutrition can seem like a mine-field, but don't despair. Generally you can't go wrong if you do these things:



- Eliminate processed foods

- Eliminate high allergen / adrenal stressing foods - wheat, dairy, caffeine, processed sugar, excess meat

- Switch to organic fruit, vegetables and animal products if possible.

- Eat what is local to your area and what is in season (very important)

- Eat only whole foods - nothing processed

Does peeling non-organic apples make them ok to eat?

Great question! The dilemma of eating non-organic apples or non-organic anything for that matter...



Peeling is certainly advantageous for reducing your pesticide/herbicide/wax consumption, but you do lose the nutrients from the skin and just under the skin. Nature intended us to eat apples in their whole, unprocessed state (skin and all) - the skin adds valuable fibre which slows down the break down and release of sugar in our bodies, making the food lower G.I. How I did 100% raw

I just responded to Nancy's blog post about eating more raw, but thought others may benefit from this also....



My current diet is not 100% raw, but I have been 100% raw in the past. I didn't dehydrate anything or make complex raw recipes, it's just not my nature to spend hours and hours in the kitchen unless I really have a Betty Crocker feeling come over me!
