I guess you could say that I'm a self-taught Real Foods Advocate. A couple years ago, my husband and I kind of stumbled across some information that gave us a much-needed reality check....what we were eating was NOT food! We lived on frozen weight-loss meals, diet pop, protein bars, chewing gum, etc. We never cooked from scratch and loved going out to restaurants. Nearly 3 years later, our entire life has changed (for the better, of course)!!! Good food is top priority in our lives, and we try to do all that we can to teach others and assist them with their transition, as well. Also, the "Fibromyalgia" that I was diagnosed with in 2003 and told that I would suffer with for "the rest of my life" has completely resolved with our dietary changes, so I am particularly interested in getting this information out to anyone suffering from Fibromyalgia or the many other health conditions that could be improved!!!
My hubby and I also write a blog where we share experiences from our real foods lifestyle:
EatingOutsideOfTheBox.com.
We also maintain a social networking site for people interested in minimizing their reliance on processed foods. We live in Nebraska, so some of the information (events, farmer listings, etc.) is Nebraska-specific, but there's tons of info for people who live ANYWHERE, too!
www.ChooseRealFoods.orgThis website looks like a great way to network and put all of our heads together to really make change happen, so I am excited about
Our Food Matters!!!
