Our Food Matters

Leading The Natural Health Revolution

I was diagnosed with chronic idiopathic neutropenia at age 18, (15 years ago), a low white blood count, reason or cause unknown. Then last year had a couple positive lupus tests and told we just need to monitor it, and then most recently a nodule has been found on my thyroid and I have a low T3, but all other thyroid blood test results were normal. I saw Food Matters and it all makes sense. I just don't know where to start, I am afraid they will want to surgically remove my nodules since I am having a hard time swallowing food (food gets stuck on the left side of my throat, and I have to cough it out)- then will have to be on hormone medication for the rest of my life. Has anyone had experience with lupus, or hypothyroidism reversing after changing their diets to at least 51% raw? Where to start...

Earlier this year, my cousin was told she has systemic lupus. After an especially bad flare that landed her in the hospital, she was put on steroids. Early this summer, while weaning off those meds, she decided to clean up her diet and start avoiding ALL additives (she knew nothing about going raw) to see if that would help b/c she knew that had worked for me to eliminate my Fibromyalgia several years ago. Within weeks, ALL of her pain and fatigue were gone and she has felt fine ALL summer long and is still doing great! She had tons of skin lesions (and hair loss with the lesions on her scalp), and those are all clearing up, too, and her hair is growing back! It is amazing what the poisons in our food can do to us! Best luck to you on your journey!

Thanks Christy! I am starting to do some research on supplements and moving to a more raw diet. I have 4 kids, so it is going to be a challenge..
