Our Food Matters

Leading The Natural Health Revolution

I"ve watched the film, read the book, and now I'm keen to get started (and get my partner involved) on a new eating plan, starting with the detox.

Now this might seem like a stupid question (I've never done a detox before); but what's for dinner? I can see the juice for early dinner, but no actual dinner.Am I looking at a misprinted version of the book where dinner is missed off - or is there actually no dinner? Is the juice really all you have in the evening? Really not sure if my other half will go for that - he eats a lot! And if it is just the juice don't you end up with huge cravings in the evening when you're having no solid foods after work?

Sorry if it's obvious, I do want to make sure I do it properly, so just wanted to check this first!

Thank you!

Hi Bella,

Welcome to Our Food Matters Community - we hope you love it as much as well do!

The detox guide is correct. Should it suit you better, you can exchange lunch for dinner.

We have a huge wealth of free information on our website, it can be a little overwhelming to know where to start, but I’d like to suggest a few places.

We have a great 'Take Action Plan' for Detoxing, you can check it out here: http://www.foodmatters.tv/_webapp/Detox%20Your%20Body

Aside from this...

  • Water, water, water
  • Large glass of warm/hot water with the juice of 1-2 lemons first thing in the morning before anything else
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables in abundance - juice, blend and eat whole
  • Exercise - hugely important - rebounding is a great one for lymphatic system, walking is also great
  • Dry skin brushing - excellent for lymphatic health
  • A clean diet - think along the lines of salads, fresh juices, stir-fries, steamed veggies, seasonal fruits, good-quality oils, nuts, seeds. Build your diet around complex carbohydrates (fruits, vegetables, brown rice), lean protein (eggs, chicken, fish, legumes and organic meat if you eat it) and healthy fats (eggs, avocados, nuts, seeds, good quality oils - coconut and rice bran oil along with butter and ghee are the best for cooking and organic, preferably raw, dairy if you eat it).

Also sign up to receive our Newsletter - we are always offering different tips and articles on  a whole range of health and healing topics including detoxing.

We all know that eating organic is important so we’ve featured 2 fantastic articles on how to make organics affordable.
