Our Food Matters

Leading The Natural Health Revolution

Hello!

My mother and I began the detox and cleanse from the detox and rejuvenation guide, and I got incredibly tired today and she got a headache from it. Is this normal? Are we doing something wrong?

Thank you!

O, I forgot to ask also, does it have to be a juice of the blended things or can i make a salad out of it and still get the benefits.

Also, if I get really hungry can I eat a salad of just raw food (tomatoes, spinach, etc) or will this affect it and if so are there any things I should avoid that are not so obvious... like legumes, or something along those lines?

Actually it means your body is getting rid of toxins...all those symptoms and more.

Hi L,

Great to connect with you - sorry to hear you aren't feeling so great on the detox.

Lots of people say they experience similar symptoms when undergoing a detox - it shouldn't last too long though. Your drop in energy could be due to a number of things:

  • Big calorie drop from your normal intake. If you regularly eat meat, wholegrains, dairy, oils, etc your body may simply be tired from not getting enough energy.
  • Not getting enough sleep
  • Not drinking enough water
  • Not getting enough sunshine
  • Sugar withdrawals. More on this here http://www.foodmatters.tv/_webapp_444375/Tips_to_Break_the_Sugar_Ha...
  • Caffeine withdrawals
  • General detoxing symptoms

I'd up your food, water, sleep and sun intake. Maybe get some light exercise in - see how you feel.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like you're body got shocked. I'm getting big, "tomato" zits. It's going to be a long journey, but it's totally worth it!
