We purchased Jack Lalane's Juicer and absolutely love it. VitaMix is great for fibre rich juices.
I picked up a KRUPS at my local thrift store. It has worked well for me. I decided to go with something inexpensive at first to ensure a juicer is something I would indeed use before going out and buying something fancy and expensive. Best of luck!
Hi Brett,

We (Laurentine and I) use a Kempo twin screw cold pressed juicer. If you're juicing for health then cold pressed is best for retaining nutrients and extracting more juice.

They cost more, and are a little harder to clean, however taste better (more creamier and less froth).

We have some info on the FoodMatters.tv site on juicers:

Hope this helps!!
Hi Brett,

I have experience with a few different models and I would make the suggestion you purchase one with a large feed tube that can take an entire apple. If you have to cut up the fruit or vegetables it is more time consuming, and any step you can save when juicing is a plus. The current juicer that I have had for 2 years does not cut it and I am also looking. You should check out the Breville machines. They are mid priced and seem to do a very good job.

Good Luck!
Thanks James, great advice.

Hi, we have a Breville JE95XL for 7 or 8 years now and LOVE it! I highly recommend it. I love it so much that I almost bought a second one recently on Craigslist because I thought our's bit the dust and couldn't be with out it for more than a day. It turned out that we just blew a fuse and were able to fix it ourselves same day. It is a very powerful and quick juicer worth every penny! It has stood the test of time with us and we use it every day. Easy clean up too.

Hello, we bought the Montel Healthmaster in December, it was an upgrade from our 1st edition Jack Lalane juicer. MAJOR improvement. I highly recommend you get a juicer that has a large feeding tube, someone else here also suggested it as well. What I like best about my Healthmaster is that is doesn't kick out the skins of the friut and veggies which is an awesome way to get that fiber in. Less of a mess as well. The healthmaster was a bit pricey but so worth every penny! I have been making green smoothies daily and taking high doses of vitamin C and I no longer have to take allergy medicine! I've been on meds since I was 8 and I'll be 41 this year! I wish you the best with your choice...
